Your Gift Goes Twice as Far
For this entire week, your donation will go twice as far for animals like Canelo, who require emergency resources for a bright future. Thanks to a generous offer from the Denne Trust, all gifts made to Pasadena Humane will be matched – dollar for dollar – up to $50,000 until December 31.
Canelo came to Pasadena Humane in the midst of the Eaton Fire. He had been found in the middle of the burn zone, covered in ash and all alone. He was rushed to Pasadena Humane for care. Like so many others, Canelo had had burns all over his body. His paws were causing him immense pain when he tried to walk due to the burns on his paw pads. He was in bad shape and desperately needed help.
In our ICU, our team carefully treated his wounds and gave him medications to soothe the pain. He was severely dehydrated and had inhaled a lot of smoke. We gave him fluids and oxygen, then provided him with a safe, comfortable place to rest after his traumatic ordeal. Luckily, we were able to reunite Canelo with his family, who had lost their home in the fire.
We hate to think of what would have happened to Canelo if he hadn't gotten the treatment that he needed. Canelo is one of the many animals that Pasadena Humane took in after the Eaton Fire ravaged our community. Over 1,000 animals poured through our doors in need of care. It is thanks to your support that we are able to respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies like this one, providing lifesaving care to the animals who are in need.
Show Them You Care
The lifesaving second chance that animals like Canelo & Whiskers receive is only made possible by the support of friends like you. Please donate today to make twice the impact for animals like them.

When sweet Whiskers came into our care, she was unable to keep any food down. It wasn’t long before we discovered that something was terribly wrong. Upon examination, we found that Whiskers is suffering from a life-threatening condition, making it nearly impossible for her to eat. Without treatment, it wouldn't have been long until her condition became fatal.
With your help, we were able to get Whiskers the surgery that she needed. Whiskers was able to make a full and speedy recovery, giving her the chance to live a long, happy life.
